As most of you know, I’m also the Fashion Editor over at The Everygirl. Earlier this summer, Kelly and I had the chance to work on a fun project with Maison Jules for The Everygirl, and that was to write an article on where to find Paris in Chicago.
Naturally, Kelly and I thoroughly enjoyed doing our research. When research includes macarons, coffee, shopping, and stopping to smell all of the flowers, it doesn’t really seem like research–am I right?
So if you’re ever visiting Chicago, or you just want to check out some new places in your own city, I seriously urge you to check out these places, and find your little slice of Paris here in the Windy City. (Luckily, that’s not hard to do!)
A Sidewalk Flower Shop
One of my favorite things about Paris is the amount of adorable flower shops that dot the sidewalks. Those are a rarity here in the Windy City, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist! There’s one right in Old Town that you can’t miss. To find out more, click here to read the full article!
Bordeaux on The Patio
Full disclosure, I suppose we ordered rosé on the patio rather than Bordeaux, but hey, you can have both, right? One of my favorite restaurants in the city sits in East Lincoln Park, and boasts an adorable garden cafe enclosed in romantic ivy. If you can’t imagine anything more dreamy, just wait until you try their Steak Frites. To find out more about this magical place, click here to read the full article!
Macarons, coffee, and the perfect light lunch
This little gem is also in Old Town. It’s my go-to to get out of the house, bring along my laptop, and indulge in a coffee, croissant, and a delicious European-style light lunch. Oh, and of course–macarons!
I couldn’t give you the whole enchilada (or, croissant?) here, could I!? Of course not–head over to The Everygirl for the full guide. Then, tell me, where else do you find Paris in Chicago?
