How has your week been going so far?
With this amazing summer heat I’m still wishing we were in Wisconsin! We went up to Lake Delevan (not the same as Lake Geneva, which I was calling it before, haha, but very close by!) for our friends wedding. It was absolutely beautiful–the weather couldn’t have been better and every detail was stunning!
We stayed at Lake Lawn resort–so many of you messaged me on Instagram about it! It was so cute–it reminded me of the resort they stay at in Dirty Dancing! It was so fun! It was a big reunion for my group of college girlfriends and it was so much fun.
I wore this new periwinkle lace dress to the wedding and it was the perfect choice for a summer wedding guest dress! (I got lot’s of compliments and nobody believed me when I told them it was only $60!) It also comes in pink and white–perfect for brides-to-be!
I love how versatile it is, because you can wear it during the day with casual sandals or you can dress it up with a pair of heels and fun earrings! If you’re wondering what to wear to a party this summer–I think this would be an amazing option, no matter what kind of party it is!
For a more casual occasion, like a day party, brunch, or a picnic in the park, I love pairing it with a straw tote–(mine is vintage, but love this similar one!) along with flat, casual sandals.
Speaking of, you’ll recognize these sandals in particular from several other outfit posts as I’ve been wearing them daily. They’re my go-to flat sandals and are so comfortable–they didn’t even need any breaking in! If you often have trouble finding a pair of sandals that don’t rub and irritate your feet, please try these–I will be shocked if anyone doesn’t agree that they feel like butter on your feet.
For more dressy occasions, i.e. the wedding I attended this weekend, it’s a snap to glam up this dress with a few accessories! I paired it with neutral t-strap pumps and my Cult Gaia Ark Bag. (Duh.) Someone came up to me and told me it was the perfect fashionable bag to transport her chinchillas. Hahaha. (Totally?!)
