Lilly Pulitzer Bow Dress

Aug 3, 2015

Dress: c/o Lilly Pulitzer // Bag: Vera Bradley (borrowed from Kelly!) // Shoes: Old, but similar here // Necklaces: Helen Ficalora and Dogeared // Bracelets: J.Crew and Busywrist

A couple weeks back, I got an email with some exciting news I couldn’t wait to share: Lilly Pulitzer is finally coming to the Chicago area! The brand new shop is located in Oakbrook. (Which is also very close to the Aurora outlets–a perfect day of shopping!)

I fell in love with pretty much all of their new arrivals, and went with this dress as I’ve got quite a few wedding festivities coming up that I knew this would be perfect for!

I haven’t been much of a pink person aside from a phase I went through Freshman year of high school where I wanted to be Elle Woods. (True story, ask my mom.) But there was something about this dress I fell in love with (probably the feminine bow detailing!)

In other news–we’re finally done moving! The majority of our boxes are unpacked, and we have accomplished a LOT in only two days! The only hiccup was that we got locked out of our apartment on Friday night (seriously, we’d been in the unit maybe 2 hours tops). But we quickly made friends with our neighbors, and the locksmith bill was better than expected (I’ve heard some horror stories!)

We’re planning to have a little dinner date this week to celebrate–ideally somewhere with a patio, and also a perfect excuse to wear this dress again, don’t you think?

Also, if you’re in the Chicago area and want to stop by their grand opening party, check out the info below! (There’s lot’s of awesome prizes for earlybirds, too!)
