I’m so excited that my second collaboration with my wonderful friend Ali of Alice & Wonder is now live! 

Ali owns an ADORABLE clothing boutique here in Chicago (but all her merch is online and she also ships nationwide!) We’ve been friends for years now, and as soon as Ali heard the news about LR, she said, “WE HAVE TO DO A MOTHER’S DAY COLLAB!” and of course I said SOLD! I’m so excited to be celebrating my first Mother’s Day as a mom-to-be!

We knew we wanted a portion of the proceeds from this collection, just like our VOTE tees, to have a give-back element focused on mothers, and have chosen for 10% of the proceeds to benefit Every Mother Counts, an amazing organization dedicated to making childbirth safe for everyone, everywhere–a cause that is especially dire in the United States, being the only industrialized nation with a consistently rising maternal mortality rate. It’s also a problem that disproportionally affects marginalized communities.

So whether you’re a mom yourself, or buying a Mama tee for another mom you love, you can feel good that your purchase is helping to benefit mothers everywhere!

The Jess x Alice & Wonder Mama Tees

The Mama Sweatshirt: 

If I had to play favorites, this sweatshirt would be my favorite of the two because I LOVE THE GREEN! The sweatshirt itself is also so comfortable, it has a vintage, *been washed a billion times*– in the best way–feel. The color is a little faded, too, again, made to look like your favorite lived-in sweatshirt.

Sizing: Available in XS-3X, but the sizing is unisex. So it’s a bit slouchy and oversized–so the 3X fits more like a 4X, for example. Size down for a fitted look.

I went with a size small (although sometimes I’ll go up to a medium in sweatshirts) and there is still plenty of room for the bump and it will be the size I prefer once she’s born as well! I like my sweatshirts roomy and there is still plenty of room for me with the smaller size of the two! If I wanted it more fitted, I would need to go XS.

The Mama Tee: 

The tee is a more neutral option for our neutral lovers out there! (But the copy is still a perfect springy peach hue!) This tee, like the sweatshirt, is super soft with a lived-in feel–great to wear all year-round. Lightweight, but not sheer!

Sizing: Available in XS-3X, unisex sizing, so again, there is some roominess to them! The cut of the tee is more long vs. wide. And there is plenty of material to tie/knot it if you’d like! I tried on both the small and the medium and here are my two cents: Go with the smaller size of your range if you want a classic fitted tee, or the larger size of your range if you prefer it to be a bit looser through the shoulders and chest, and want enough slack to tie it with ease!
