Pants: Treasure and Bond c/o Nordstrom (run TTS, wearing size 0) Shirt: Treasure and Bond c/o Nordstrom–wearing XS–true to size but supposed to be boxy (also comes in plus!), Sunnies: Ray Ban, Sneakers c/o: Tretorn, available at Nordstrom–run TTS!
Okay friends–take note. These are going to be your new favorite pants that you LIVE IN this summer. This is only my second pair of cropped pants, but I swear to you–they are going to be one of the most versatile purchases you make this season.
I suppose I should back up and give some context. Last week before my Mexico trip I placed a big Nordstrom order–by the way–do you know they offer SAME DAY DELIVERY at certain Nordstrom locations?! LIFE CHANGING! Yes, this post is sponsored by Nordstrom but NO they didn’t even ASK me to say this. I just want to shout it from the rooftops! ?
Anyway–I selected this pair specifically in preparation for my trip to the Patron Hacienda in Guadalajara (best trip ever, more on that soon, I promise!) and I wanted a pair of pants that were breezy (obviously, it’s pretty warm in Mexico this time of year) but really comfortable (for the plane) and also stylish yet respectable (it was a work trip, after all!)
They’re made by Treasure & Bond, which is a Nordstrom brand that I’ve always shopped, yet I’d never purchased a pair of pants made by them so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I could not have been more pleasantly surprised on all levels.
First, they are the most amazing weight–they are a linen/cotton blend, so you get the breeziness of linen with the softness of cotton. They’re the *perfect* travel pant–plus, they still look professional, so you can totally wear them with a loafer for the office as well! Paired with sneakers (you know I LIVE in these)–they make the perfect comfy chic travel outfit. For a date night, just throw on a slinky camisole and a pair of wedges, and you’re good to go! (I LOVE these comfy wedges, also made by Treasure and Bond!)
Second, I can’t believe I didn’t know this before–but on the tag, I noticed that every Treasure & Bond purchase provides educational resources or programming to young students across North America through their partnership with WE Schools‘ service learning programs! How cool is that!?
So, I guess you could say that Treasure & Bond is my new favorite Nordstrom brand.
(And no, Nordstrom didn’t ask me to say that. Nordstrom didn’t even tell me to write about Treasure & Bond! ?)
They don’t just make great quality clothes at great prices–they’re helping kids! As if I needed another reason to shop more. ?
And speaking of great clothes–they happen to also make the button-down I’m wearing!
To be honest, I’m not sure what my deal is, but I’ve never owned a short sleeved button down. (Weird? Yes!) What took me so long? I’m not sure–but I’m glad I invested in this one–it’s incredibly lightweight, again, making it ideal for summer and summer travel. Had I brought this to Italy, it probably would’ve been my most worn top of the trip! (Also comes in plus size!)
You can tie it at the front like I did, or you can button it fully through and do the front tuck! I also love it paired with jeans or jean shorts! Speaking of…
Other Nordstrom items I ordered for Mexico and loved:
Cutoff jean shorts:
I ordered this pair of jean shorts to test out (because I know you guys are always looking for affordable *not too long* jean shorts!)–and I LOVE them. Highly recommend! I ordered my normal size–25–and they fit TTS.
Striped tie front tee:
I actually wore this tee on the plane with the pants I’m wearing here! (When I said they were great travel pants, I meant it! ?) It comes in tons of colors but I love the striped one, obvi. It’s another Nordstrom brand, Caslon, which I shop VERY often! They make the best comfy basics! I got XS.
Comfortable wedges:
I had tried the Vince Camuto ones and thought they were uncomfortable (RETURN!), so then ordered this Treasure & Bond pair and give them two thumbs up! They are so comfortable (and don’t make you feel like you’re going to roll your ankle!) I love the brown color that goes well with everything!
Linen Joggers:
Okay HELLO travel *staple*–you guys will love these linen joggers, also by Caslon. Again, add these to the list of things I could’ve used on my Italy trip last year. They come in tons of colors and they are so comfy but chic at the same time. I wore these on the plane ride home!
BP Linen Midi Dress:
I’ve found that I’ve been gravitating toward midi dresses more and more lately. Reason being: they are worry free. Seriously! You don’t have to worry about them blowing up in the wind, or worry they’re going to flash someone if you bend over or sit down. They are the best! I got this adorable dress from BP in mustard and I can’t wait to wear it! ??
Two amazing PSAs to leave you with:
PSA #1: These are all Nordstrom-made brands, which means, right now–you can earn DOUBLE Nordstrom points by purchasing them if you happen to be a Nordy Club member! Huzzah! (You can shop all Nordstrom brands right here!)
PSA #2: The Nordstrom Spring sale is on!! You can save 50 (FIFTY!) percent on BP, Topshop, Madewell, JCrew, Reformation, and more! (Linking a few favorites below!)
Okay–that’s all for now. GO BUY THE PANTS! ??
