A Spring Uniform I Can’t Stop Wearing

A Spring Uniform I Can't Stop Wearing

If you’ve been following along here for any amount of time, you’ll know I am a chronic outfit repeater. Not only do I repeat exact outfits [often] but I also develop my own little “formulas” per say, that I gravitate toward over and over. I love this concept, because once you have a few “formulas” in your arsenal, it’s a lot easier to put together stylish outfits that feel very much like “you.”

Today, I’m sharing one of those formulas that I already love for spring! I’ve already used this formula to get dressed at least four times in the past 10 days. ????It’s a keeper. Of course, I highly recommend each of these individual items, but you can easily re-create your own version using items you already have in your closet!

A Spring Uniform I Can’t Stop Wearing

Sézane Gaspard sweater:

I have yet to purchase anything from Sézane that I don’t fall head over heels for, and this “Gaspard” sweater absolutely takes the cake. It’s a reversible cardigan (so you can wear it with the buttons in the back or the front), it’s the perfect, creamy pale pink color, fuzzy without shedding, and so soft. (Not scratchy!) It’s perfectly slouchy, polished without being overly so, and perfect for dressing up or dressing down. Of course, you can sub ANY button-front cardigan into this formula, but I especially love this one. (I’ve worn this with several sweaters at this point!)

Sezane has free shipping and free returns, and all purchases come in recycled packaging!

Colors: Comes in SO many colors, but this super pale pink is the “nude” hue.

Sizing: I’m wearing a size small here! I’ve found that Sézane tops are TTS for me, but bottoms I go up one size. Note, it is quite slouchy, if I didn’t want it a little oversized, I could’ve gone with an XS. Hope that helps!

Levi’s Wedgie Jeans:

I’ve had this pair for YEARS (though this pair is basically this year’s version!) and they are my other favorite pair of straight leg crops (Everlane cheeky jeans being the other). I love the light wash and raw hem on these––like I said, they are very old but Levi’s sells tons of Wedgie straight jeans in all different washes. (Tip: There’s a difference between the Wedgie Icon, which is more tapered, and the Wedgie straight, which is a true straight cropped jean!) They all run a bit differently, but in my case, I find them to be small (mine are a 26 vs a 25). I recommend checking out the selection at Nordstrom, Shopbop, and Zappos. They all have free returns both ways!

Schutz Ballet Flats:

OMG these flats, you guys. First of all, I have never been the biggest fan of ballet flats. They’ve never been a “go to” shoe of mine because A. They are never actually comfortable and B. I think they look frumpy if you don’t pair them with exactly the right thing. These flats solve BOTH of those problems. They are so insanely comfortable right out of the box––the leather is so soft and buttery it’s like you’re wearing true slippers, and the toe is elongated and square, so they’re much chicer than regular rounded toe ballet flats. I’ve barely taken them off since! I walked all over SF in them!

Sizing: True to size!

Hair scarf:

Spring is officially here! (Well, it has decided to appear quite a few times already which is close enough.) A hair scarf is my favorite accessory when it’s warm enough to bare your ears without risk of frostbite. I think a hair scarf makes every outfit look chicer AND…as you know, I’m a big fan of anything that allows me to stretch further in-between hair washing. ???? The one I’m wearing here is old but Mango always has good ones (where mine is from!) I love this one and this one

Read the tutorial: How to tie a hair scarf! You can also watch a video tutorial on my IGTV!

Everlane Cocoon Coat:

This coat has proven to be my favorite mid-weight transitional coat in my wardrobe lately! It goes with everything and the roomy shape makes it perfect for chunky layers! It’s been my “San Francisco” coat during my last few trips there in fall, winter, and now spring!

Sizing: It’s boxy. I went with a size 0!
