What are your thoughts on the pom pom trend? Typically I’m not super drawn to super boho-type trends, but something about the pom poms–I think I can get behind them! What about you?
I was surprised at how much I was drawn to this cute little embroidered jacket. (Also, the word “jacket” is a loose term–it’s actually insanely lightweight and almost gauzy–so you can wear it over any tank without worrying about a lot of added heat!)
It’s perfect for any summer festival, concert, and would be a super cute beach or pool cover-up for vacation!
Blair and I had fun shooting this in the West Loop outside of Green City Smoked Meats (which is a West Loop must-visit, by the way–especially if you love BBQ!) I love our girls work dates and always feel so much more accomplished afterword. It felt really good to get back in the swing of things–as you may have noticed, outfit posts have been more on the back-burner lately as we’ve been putting so much effort into getting Blogging For Keeps up and running, and producing our very first series of webinars leading up to the WordPress Master Workshop we had last weekend.
I have to say, putting on a successful workshop with some amazingly inspirational ladies was up there with my biggest blogging win to date. We have so many more ideas in the pipeline that I can’t wait to share with you.
Anyway, I digress–*steps off sentimental soapbox**–this is the second time my bike (her name is “Lady”) has made an appearance on the blog! I’ve been riding around the city a lot lately, soaking up as much summer as I can before it slips away again! (We all know that will happen way too quickly!)
On that note, I’m running around like a crazy person in preparation for Paris–cramming two weeks worth of work into one week is always a little overwhelming, but ABSOLUTELY worth it to say the least. I keep pinching myself–I can’t believe it’s almost here!
Have you heard of the new book “Bright Lights Paris?” It’s been the best tool to plan our trip–it’s a girly girl’s Paris guide organized by neighborhood, with the most adorable illustrations and hundreds of amazing insider tips. If you ever plan to visit Paris (or just love anything Parisian in general!) you definitely want this book on your coffee table. (It would make a perfect gift as well!)
