I’m so excited for today’s post because it’s a little bit different than my usual outfit posts–today we have a VERY special guest ?–one of my best friends, Shaheen, from Lows to Luxe!
We’ve had the idea for awhile now to start a series where we both style one item different ways to showcase it’s versatility and to give you some creative outfit ideas!
If you don’t follow Shaheen already, you should! (And not just because my BFF ?) She has amazing style–she wears a lot of versatile staples–a lot of times we’ll end up buying the same exact items on accident, but styling them in a totally different way! If I had to describe Shaheen’s style in one sentence, it would be “chic but approachable cool-girl style” ? (Sometimes if I want to edge-up my look I think, “how would Shaheen style this?”)
Anyway, we’re hoping to continue this little series after she moves back home to Louisville at the end of the month and it will be a fun way to still feel like we get to work together even though she’ll be hundreds of miles away ? (I’m happy for you but sad for me, Shaheen!)

We both decided to style this cute little white eyelet midi sundress by J.O.A. Have you heard of the brand? It’s one of my favorites–their designs are adorable and feminine and best of all, reasonably priced! This dress is under $103 and runs true to size (we’re both wearing a size small here because it’s Shaheen’s dress–it runs TTS for her but she has more up top than I do ? so it fit her well while it was slightly big on me, I would’ve gone with the XS, which is my normal size!)

Jess’ Casual Day Look: With Sneakers and a White Denim Jacket
I went the casual route with this dress, pairing with with crisp white sneakers and a white jean jacket for a fresh white on white look that is perfect for walking around and exploring the city.
I love that it’s a bit unexpected–with the dainty, feminine details of the dress contrasting the casual tomboyish qualities of the sneakers. While it would also look adorable with a classic jean jacket (you know my love for my J.Crew one!) I went with a white version for a super fresh monochromatic look that can only be accomplished with white on white!
For accessories, I kept it simple with a dainty necklace and a neutral raffia tote (ideal for the Farmer’s Market (and even better for vacation, because it’s packable!) it can hold a TON of stuff and has two roomy pockets inside–one that zips, too– for your makeup and valuables!
