…ahead to 2021 with a beautiful Paris calendar!

On a High Note: Vol 25

“My amazing friend Rebecca of Everyday Parisian recently released a Paris (2021) calendar filled with her stunning photos she’s taken around Paris over the years. It’s the perfect mini size, and the best part is that when the month is over, you can trim the photo out and it will be a frameable 5 x 5 print! All of the photos are gorgeous and it would make such a great gift for yourself or a holiday gift for friends. I’m counting down the days until I can make it back to Paris, and being able to look at Rebeccas beautiful photos makes it just a tiny bit better!” –Jess

“Is there any better feeling than smelling your dinner slow cook all day long?! I’m so glad it’s soup season again, because they are delicious, comforting, easy to make, and there are so many great recipes out there to mix things up!” The Everygirl just rounded up 30 soup recipes, and I’m planning on making a few of these this week!  –Kendall

The J.Crew Cocoon Coat is 23% off today!

On a High Note: Vol 25

“PSA: I noticed the ever-coveted J.Crew Cocoon coat is on sale right now for 23% off and is fully stocked in all colors (including the camel color-which usually sells out around this time each year!) It’s the warmest non-puffer I own and I think it’s all around my most versatile coat. It’s nice enough to dress up to wear out to dinner but doesn’t look to fancy with jeans and sneakers. (Runs roomy– I have a size 0!)

My other favorite, the Lady Day coat, is also marked down–I have it in black! I pretty much exclusively wear it as my “going out/nice” coat. It’s not AS warm as the Cocoon coat but is still remarkably toasty for being such a trim, formfitting coat! The Lady Day coat runs TTS. I have a 2!” –Jess

How to make a “good day” and “bad day” plan

On a High Note: Vol 25

“I really enjoyed this Self read about the importance of creating a “bad day” and “good day” plan during a pandemic. While 2020 has been a lot already, the change in seasons (shorter, darker days, even more time spent inside…) can continue to impact our moods. Having a tried-and-true list of non-negotiable tasks, people that always make you feel better, and compassionate reminders can make a world of a difference on hard days. This article walks you through exactly how to create the different plans, and I’m going to work on creating mine for fall/winter this week!” –Kendall

Stuffing your own olives!

Stuffing your own olives!

[/one-half]

“Sounds random, but hear me out. Neal and I were at our favorite neighborhood spot last week, Osteria Rusticana, where we often start off with a classic martini. They always have the BEST olives (they stuff them in-house!). And it made me think–why don’t WE stuff our own olives? Every time we buy jarred olives at the store, they’re so disappointing! This little activity is next on my list. A quick google search lead me to this blog post on DIY stuffed olives three ways!

You can use goat cheese, blue cheese, your favorite fresh herbs, jalapenos, pickled garlic–whatever! It would make a really fun at-home date night activity!” –Jess

Ted Lasso on Apple TV

On a High Note: Vol 25

“If you’re looking for a light, funny, feel-good show, Ted Lasso is your next binge! Jason Sudeikis, an American football coach from Kansas, gets hired to manage a soccer team in England with absolutely no knowledge of the sport. (This concept is actually based on a commercial that starred Jason Sudeikis as well if this plot sounds suspiciously familiar to you!) Ted Lasso is an optimistic, albeit clueless sweetheart that tries to win over his players and fans. It’s on Apple TV and got approved for a second season, too!” –Kendall

“I loved this article on Cup of Jo with simple ways to plan ahead to have a cheerful winter–but even better are the tips in the comments! I will admit that I’ve been apprehensive about winte. But now I’m coming around to the idea of a quiet, cozy few months. And reading this made me feel a lot better and remember we have lots of things to look forward to and ways to stay cheerful!” –Jess

Let’s make it a great week!
