Cape Dress: BB Dakota c/o Zappos (also love this version if you can splurge, or this version, which is priced in the middle!) // Zipper Clutch (under $100!): Rebecca Minkoff c/o Zappos (also comes in a dreamy blush color!) // Shoes: Vince Camuto c/o Zappos (sold out, but love this t-strap sandals version (budget friendly!) this splurge version, these nude tassel sandals (under $200) and these lace-up nude pumps are amazing!) // Lipstick: Clinique Pop Lip Color & Primer in one, in Cherry Pop // Earrings: Kendra Scott // Bracelet: Kendra Scott
Do you know what you’re wearing for New Years Eve yet? I do! I was so excited when I found this budget-friendly cape dress on Zappos.com a couple weeks back! I had been eyeing this Trina Turk version for awhile now and had been holding out for a budget-friendly replica, and of course, Zappos had one! (There’s also a moderately priced Adrianna Papell version for $160, which also comes in plus size!)
Cape dresses are one of my absolute favorite new trends. They’re so incredibly simple, but ridiculously chic. I’m all about anything that makes me feel timeless and glamorous, especially if I can snag it for a great deal! I know I’ll be wearing this black version for years to come.
And for the accessories–I often opt for nude heels (this pair is especially a steal!), as this elongates legs and is especially flattering when paired with a short dress–they give the illusion of legs for days! I also snagged this Rebecca Minkoff clutch (under $100!) from Zappos. I love the envelope shape, and the zipper gives just a hint of edge that really spices up the overall look.
I got all of these items off of “The Style Room” section of Zappos.com, which is basically a one-stop online boutique for the latest contemporary and classic brands–and it has lot’s of great NYE outfit choices! The best part about Zappos is that they have insanely fast and free shipping (and free returns!), so you still have time to get the perfect NYE outfit in time to ring in 2016 🙂
To finish off my NYE outfit, I always add red lipstick (obviously), and a spritz of my favorite perfume: Stella by Stella McCartney. I never feel truly ready to go until I’m wearing perfume. I’ve worn it for years, and I love the memories it brings back every time I smell it! (It reminds me of when Neal and I first started dating.)
And finally, New Years Eve plans! I’m kind of an old lady at heart (which is apparently rubbing off on Neal) so we’ve made a tradition of going out to a late, fun, nice dinner with just the two of us each year. We can never seem to get out the door on time, so a 10pm reservation at Mott Street is the perfect way to enjoy each other’s company and ring in 2016. (Side note, if you’ve been there, I would love recommendations on what to order!)
