Reviewed and Approved: lululemon Run Collection

We’re back with another lululemon review! As you guys know, lululemon is one of my favorite workout brands–I turned so many of you onto their Swiftly Tech shirts after my last review this past winter–(they are truly amazing, definitely go read that if you haven’t yet!) but today, I’m diving into a few items from their Run collection.

Now that the weather is heating up, we can FINALLY work out outside! ??That’s actually one of my favorite parts about Chicago, there are so many beautiful places to run outdoors. From the lakefront to the 606 trail to Humboldt Park–there are lot’s of beautiful places to go. I find that running outside is the best stress-fighter. (Side note: If you need a running buddy–join lululemon’s Running Club! You can find your local club on the Strava app! Just download and search “lululemon Run Club” in your area–it’ll show you all the local meetups! It’s a great way to meet new friends, too!)

Funny enough–I have always wanted to try a pair of lululemon running shorts–because, as you guys know (if you’ve read any of my other workout posts)–I HATE BEING HOT. ?I have a very low heat tolerance, so finding a good pair of workout shorts was on my must-do list before summer. However, the last time I owned running shorts were the really bulky diaper-like kind that everyone wore in high school college. Not a good look. I’ve also found it difficult to find shorts that aren’t too short–and most importantly–I need shorts that are lined yet comfortable at the same time. (V important while at a workout class doing things such as sit ups, if you know what I mean.)

Anyway–when lululemon asked if we wanted to partner again to test out some items from their running collection–I, of course, said yes! ??Here are my favorites/honest thoughts.

Run Times Short 4″:

For those looking for a longer running short that is more form fitting. I honestly think these are my favorite! The waistband is super soft (like the waistband on their pants!) and the shorts are a little bit more snug while still letting you move and breathe! You can barely tell you have anything on! They have secret pockets in the front to stash your house key, chapstick, etc, and a zipper pocket in the back, too!

They come in lot’s of colors too!

Sizing: Go up a size. I’m wearing a size 4.

lululemon Breeze Long Sleeve:

This top is GENIUS. Someone DMed me right after I posted a sneak peak of what I was shooting on Instagram stories and goes, “This is my favorite shirt ever and I just bought three more colors in it before you post it and sell it out ?” It’s WONDERFUL. If you’re the kind of person who likes the coverage of long sleeves during a workout but doesn’t want to be hot–this is the perfect solution.

It’s made with the same magical fabric as the Swiftly Tech shirts are (called SILVERESCENT® TECHNOLOGY if you want to get really technical). It inhibits bacteria growth and completely eliminates any smell of sweat, so you can go out to brunch afterwords and not feel self conscious. I also love that the waistband at the bottom prevents it from riding up while you’re running!

Just throw this pullover on over your favorite tank or sports bra! Comes in lot’s of colors, I ordered a size 6. (Their tops run REALLY small, FYI! Size up 2-3 whole sizes! I’m wearing a 6.)

For those who want a little more room to move–these shorts are loose but still adorable. They also have a super soft lining. Come in lot’s of colors too! They have reflective details to keep you safe in low light, and a secret pocket to stash your essentials!

Sizing: Go up a size. I’m wearing a size 4.

The shirts I can’t stop raving about (you saw my review of them here)–I have this tank in other colors but ordered it in grey! (I have the long sleeve version too!) It’s very thin and breathable (it actually has ventilation built into heavy-sweat areas) and it has no seams, so it’s chafe-free. (Obviously key for my runners!)

The best part, by far though–is that, again, it’s made with a special fabric that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria on the garment–so, you know what that means…

YES. YOU SMELL LIKE NOTHING.

Sizing: Runs small. The tank I’m wearing here is a size 6–I got a size 4 last time and it was pretty snug, so I went with a 6 this time just to have some variety.

luluemon Fast + Free Running tights:

These tights come in a few variations–reflective and non-reflective, and a 25″, 28″ and 31″ length–as well as tons of different colors, so you can customize based on what you’re looking for! I love these running tights–they’re supportive but not too constricting, they move incredibly and feel like butter–like you’re wearing nothing!

They’re made with their Nulux fabric–which is really light, sweat-wicking and quick-drying. They’re high-rise (so they suck you in!) and one of my favorite features is how many pockets they have–perfect for stashing your phone while you’re running!

Sizing: They run small, I’m pretty much always a 4 across the board in lulu bottoms. (I’m usually a 0 or 2 in other sizes).
