So, I’m not going to lie–I never intended to post these photos!
I’m working on a project that required me to send a few photos of my living room to get a feel of the space–I replied with “now, keep in mind, these photos aren’t styled! Apologies for that!”
The shelves are crammed with too much stuff–you can see my pile of yoga mats in the corner.
But then I figured, know what? Nobody’s house looks like the magazines. Who cares!
Besides, we swapped our master bedroom rug with our living room rug and now it looks totally different and I hadn’t updated you on it yet!

Living Room Rug Swap
This rug was originally in our bedroom, but when Blair and I hosted our Blogging For Keeps photography workshop in my living room, we swapped the rugs because we wanted more bright, punchy colors where the workshop was taking place. Both Neal and I ended up loving the swap!
I think I love this rug so much partly because it reminds me of Arizona (where I spent my middle school and high school years!) My mom had tons of really cool Southwestern rugs and this rug is just a very bright version of what I grew up with! (Also, placing it next to my little cactus does add to the Southwestern flair ;-))
