Long weekend! Ahhhhhhh!

(Happy Friday, by the way.)

I’m so excited! Can you believe that it’s Memorial Day weekend already?

This exact day last year, we had been engaged for a full week, and Neal surprised me by flying my mom in for Memorial Day Weekend! (If you haven’t read our engagement post yet, you can read it right here! Ugh, he’s the cutest.)

Another fun fact: Until like 2 months ago, Kelly had thought our wedding was on Memorial Day weekend because she got it mixed up with Labor Day. OH KELLY.

Today I’m excited for a few reasons:

Reason #1:

One of my best friends (and bridesmaids!) Melissa just got engaged!!! Eeeeee! Ahhhhh! He proposed in AUSTRIA nbd. Way to go Tyler! I can’t wait to celebrate when she gets home!

Reason #2:

I’m getting a hair cut. I am SO BAD at getting hair cuts. Mostly because I’m lazy and time gets away from me, so I really only go in every six months. (Whoops.) But it’s getting bad and stringy and needs a hefty trim. (I’m not cutting TOO much off, don’t worry!) I go to Stacia at Sine Qua Non–which is my favorite salon ever. They do such a good job, the salon is gorgeous and everyone who works there is so friendly! (Plus, it’s the only place in the city where you can get a cut and basic blow-dry for less than $60! No–they don’t pay me–I just love them that much!)

Reason #3:

We’re taking off for the lake house immediately after! Memorial Day at the lake is always so fun. Lot’s of fun times with family, relaxing on the beach, and BBQ’s!

Anyway–Kelly and I stopped by the Nordstrom sale earlier this week and found ALL THE THINGS. This sale is a really good one–I’ll be sharing all my finds over the next few days (the sale runs through June 4th, but all the good stuff is going fast! Secretly hoping it doesn’t all sell out before I can post the photos, haha!) This dress is one of my favorite finds! It’s 40% off for a whopping $47 –pretty great deal, don’t you think!? I love the lightweight material which is really breezy and it will be perfect for hot summer days! (It runs true to size!)

Then there’s this Mar Y Sol bag. Have you heard of Mar Y Sol? If not, you’ve likely seen their bags everywhere! I love all of them so much! So many pom poms and tassels! You can shop ’em all right here. These slides also make any outfit look really chic and polished. They’re really comfy, too!

I also get a lot of questions on my nail polish! I pretttty much wear this color on repeat. (I’m a red nail polish girl, through and through!) It’s Essie’s Gel polish in “Rock the Runway“–I love it SO much and it really does stay on so much longer than regular nail polish. It’s not as good as no-chip at a salon, but it can usually get me through a couple days without chipping! (It’s also very festive for Memorial Day weekend, don’t you think!?)
