OMG how wonderful was this weekend!? Sooo warm! I wore shorts. SHORTS, you guys!
Saturday we biked over to Lincoln Park to our friends’ Hadley & Mike’s house and hung out with some of my college besties for a few hours during the afternoon. Then we biked back over to Wicker Park and met Shaheen and Trevor for dinner, and hung out on our front porch afterwords. Sunday was low-key and spent with family with plenty of time spent outside.
Later this morning I’m hopping on my bike to ride to Soho House to meet Blair and Shaheen for a work date, and later on we’re meeting Kelly for dinner. Kelly and Shaheen were both out of town last week and it feels like we all haven’t hung out in forever, so I’m really excited!
Also, exciting news: I’m headed to Dallas on Thursday for a blogger conference with Blair and Kelly! I’ve actually only been to Texas (Austin!) once before–isn’t that crazy? If you have any Dallas reccos, I’d love to hear them! Blair grew up there, so she has assured me our first stop will be her favorite taco spot. I’m counting down the days!
Annyyywho, we haven’t done an Instagram round up here in awhile, have we? If you haven’t popped over there in awhile, I’m sharing my favorites + outfit details below!
What I wore on Saturday for our bike excursion! You saw me post about the shorts + sandals in this post. This was my first time really wearing the sandals all day and they were SO comfy. No breaking in necessary!
This shirt is insanely comfortable and I love the ruffle details on the shirt! It comes in several colors/variations and is sold on a couple different websites, so I’ve linked them all above!
You’ll recognize these shoes from this blog post! If you’re looking for some polished summer sandals that aren’t too high, I can’t recommend these enough! They come in ton’s of colors, too!
The only thing that got me through that bad stretch of rainy weather we had earlier this month was my sunny yellow rain jacket and the fact that peony season has officially begun 😉 Mine is the Barbour Trevose jacket, which is surprisingly warm for being so lightweight, and has a detachable hood. Their similar “Cirrus” jacket is $100 cheaper though! They also have a long version of it here!
When the weather gets nicer, I’m always more inspired to get a little more creative with my makeup. I recently did a project with Natasha Denona and am obsessed with her highlighter products especially! You can see the recent beauty tutorial I did here.
The cutest top ever! This is a behind the scenes snap but you can see how I styled it in the full blog post here.
I’ve been wearing these blue suede heels nonstop. For how high they are, they’re surprisingly comfortable (I mean, in like, high-heel terms.) The dusty blue color makes for a fun pop of personality but is surprisingly neutral, too! I also have been testing out Clinique’s new BIY foundation, which is really cool! You blend it with your regular face cream/lotion. The more drops you add, the more coverage you get. I like wearing it on minimal makeup days when I only need a little something on my face!
I wandered into Urban Outfitters a few weeks back and saw this adorable dress on sale for only $39! FYI it runs slightly small, so err on the side of sizing up! Also, my favorite bow mules are back in stock and are so comfy they feel like slippers! They run TTS.
