I’m typically a very last minute person. So if you feel like you’re the only one who still doesn’t know what she’s wearing, serving, or drinking on New Years Eve (hell, or even when you’re doing!) I hear you, girlfriend. I’m one of those gals who pulls something out of her you-know-what at the final hour of the day. (A 5pm on New Years Eve DIY project? Why not!?)
Luckily you’ve still got a wee window of time to spare, and all of these awesome NYE ideas (from some of my very favorite ladies) are very doable with very little time and planning involved. When the clock strikes midnight this year, you’ll still be one snazzy sister. Albeit, a last-minute one.
Gilded updo from Refinery29
Pretty obsessed with this loose, effortless undo. To get the best hold, spray your head all over with a combination of dry shampoo and hair spray (2nd day hair is best, which saves major shower time, too!) It can work with anything really — an old metallic chain necklace, a bit of gold ribbon, or even those cheapie gold star garlands from the dollar store!
Printable party crowns from Etsy
This doesn’t exactly warrant an explanation. Are they serious with these adorable printable crowns!? You can download them straight from Etsy and print them at home. Talk about a last minute save.
Gold Party Hat DIY’s from Almost Makes Perfect
If you have a littttllle more time (say, your boss is letting you go at noon tomorrow instead of 3pm) you definitely have time to make these adorable little gold fringe party hats. You can probably find everything you need here at the dollar store! (Love when that happens.)
DIY Chalkboard Serving Tray from Darling Magazine
For those of you blessed with beautiful handwriting, this little tray DIY goes a long way in the name of festive decor. Hang it on the wall for decoration, or use it to serve up your ball droppin’ cocktails. (Cough…below.)
Daring double sequins from The Darling Detail
My adorable friend Jessi knocked my socks off with this double sequined number. Remember all those sequined pieces you’ve bought in years past for one various Christmas or New Years occasion or another? Who needs to buy yet ANOTHER sparkly piece you’ll never wear again when you can just mix and match your existing sequined separates?
Bruleed Gin Fizz from Waiting On Martha
Mandy sure knows how to mix up a fabulous cocktail. I’m thinking of trying these myself for New Years Eve — equally gorgeous (and, as I can imagine, tasty!)
A sparkly mani from Elle.com
It wouldn’t be NYE without a glittery mani. I love this understated version from Elle.com. It’s subtle enough to last way beyond New Years, too!
