I’m wearing an XS, I think LOFT tends to run large)–they just got so many cute dresses in–I love this dark floral dress and how pretty is this floral velvet dress? I also love this polka dot dress in a similar shape (the ruffle bell sleeve are so adorable and feminine!) Boots: Splendid–(Splendid is one of my favorite brands, shop more Splendid shoes and clothing here! Sizing: they run TTS in my opinion, but some of the reviews say they run short–so use your best judgement!) I also love Sam Edelman’s similar pair in a lighter color! (Another one of my favorite shoe brands, shop more Sam Edelman here!) Trench: London Fog (I love love this coat and brand! They make lot’s of different versions of trenches for men and women–shop them all here) Purse: Rebecca Minkoff (sold out but Shopbop has lot’s of cute Rebecca Minkoff bags! I also love a lot of her shoes!)

How have you guys been? How has your week been going?
The craziest thing–on Monday night I could not sleep, like at all–which is a little unlike me. When I finally fell asleep, I turned off my alarm so I could attempt to play catch-up, and when Shaheen called me at 8:30 I was still in bed. She was about to scold me (haha!) but then I told her I didn’t sleep at all and she said the same thing! Then, when I talked to Neal, he said he couldn’t sleep either!
THEN I got on Instagram stories and asked you guys, and it turns out NOBODY slept on Monday night. How weird is that? Someone in Arizona even said so, so it’s not like we can even blame it on daylight savings.
WEIRD. Am I right? (Did you sleep on Monday? Haha!)
I have to admit I’ve been pretty busy with November’s capsule wardrobe coming out on Friday so I haven’t been out of the house much, but I need to get my you-know-what back into Orange Theory. Gahhh.
Another reason I’m excited for Friday–one of our best friends, Marty, who does comedy at Second City, produced his very own comedy show called “Sorry, We’re Open” and we’re going to opening night! It’s running this Friday and next Friday at The Beat Lounge, and tickets are only $13 each, so if you’re looking for something new and different to do, you should come!!
Anyway, today I’m so excited to share the first glimpse of our San Francisco trip! (We actually only got two outfit posts shot. Sigh. Oh well. Next time! Everything was SO beautiful I could’ve done 100 shoots!) We shot this walking around Pacific Heights on our first night and I fell in love with the neighborhood. Every house was more beautiful than the next, and Fillmore street had so many charming shops and restaurants! (I’ll be sharing all my SF favorites in another post!)

I’ve been really into the feminine fall florals I’ve been seeing everywhere lately. I’ve always been a sucker for a good floral print and I’m so happy that they’re becoming more of a year-round thing.
Other ways to style it: This dress is great because it can also double for the office–you can wear it with tights and pumps (I love these pumps and they’re on sale!) It also looks really cute with a cozy cardigan (I think a dark wine color would be gorgeous with it, as well as camel or even navy or black because it has black accents in the pattern!) pulled over it and my Everlane oxfords!

I love the dress paired with these boots, because it feels very retro to me in the best way. I love pulling inspiration from other decades! They’re made by Splendid and they are seriously the comfiest ever. I walked all over SF in them and no blisters. (This was the other pair of shoes–ankle boots–I walked all over in, I love them as well!)
