This post brought to you in partnership with Nordstrom and Shopstyle ❤️
Dress: Leith – only $69 and also comes in another color/pattern and in Plus size as well! I’m wearing XS–it runs TTS! (Totally looks like the more expensive Reformation version!) This one is also similar in a beautiful light blue (and minus the slit!) I also love this Madewell one! Heels: Halogen (under $100!) Jean jacket: J.Crew–runs TTS. Wearing small! Sneakers: Tretorn— SO comfy, run TTS. These are similar too! (I also love these sneakers that are leather vs. canvas, so they’re easier to keep clean!)
A fun Spring post coming at you today! (I’m so excited about all the springy content I’ve shot in the past two weeks! ??It gives us something to look forward to, right? ?) The perks of traveling to Arizona in February–I can shoot spring outfits without the risk of frostbite! ?
Remember the dress I posted in this Instagram last week? Today, I’m teaming up with Nordstrom to style it TWO more ways with some of my favorite shoes that will be go-to’s this Spring! As you know, Nordstrom has been one of my favorite retailers since I was old enough to shop–(my earliest shopping memory is hiding in the racks while my mom shopped). ?They have so many cute shoes right now, so I’m highlighting a few of my favorite picks I think will be great additions to your spring wardrobe, if you’re in the market!
But…let’s back up and talk about the dress first, and then we’ll get to the shoes, yeah? ?
The dress ??: Only $69!
For starters, it totally looks like Reformation (a brand I love, but is double the price!) but it’s actually made by Leith–which is definitely one of my top 5 favorite brands–only available at Nordstrom! They make feminine pieces that strike the perfect balance of “on-trend but not too trendy.” Plus, their price points are ??
I love this dress for several reasons: Despite being a fun punchy color, it’s still very versatile! The cut is modest with a slit for a little zazz–without being TOO high. I also think the midi length makes it great for girls of all heights–it will look just as cute as a longer dress on shorter girls or cut a little higher on taller ladies. (I’m 5’6, for height reference!)
Also, it’s a dress you can wear now and later. You can totally pair it with closed toed shoes like booties or sneakers (like the second look below!) right now, and swap for sandals like the ones I’m wearing here in this first look when it’s warmer!
Dress sizing: I’m wearing an XS here which is typically what I wear in dresses. It fit perfectly! It also has a cute keyhole back, but it’s not too low that you can’t wear a normal bra, which is a HUGE PLUS!
Look #1: With Halogen Perforated Sandals
OKAY GUYS.
If you’re going to buy one pair of spring heels that you want to be super comfortable and wearable with EVERYTHING in your closet––these are them! They’re only $99, and made by Halogen, which is another one of my favorite Nordstrom brands. This is actually my first pair of Halogen shoes (I own a lot of Halogen clothes though!) and they do not disappoint.
From dresses to jeans, these are a pair of shoes you’ll reach for every time you want to put on a pair of heels. I love the perforated detail that adds a little something extra to your outfit, and they are made of the softest nubuck leather that doesn’t rub at ALL. (You know a lot of sandals are made of that stiff leather that totally digs into your toes? These are not like that at all!)
Shop more Halogen shoes here–they all have amazing reviews!

Look #2: With Tretorn Sneakers + Jean Jacket:
The combo of a dress + sneakers is one of my go-to’s whenever I want to look feminine but I know I’ll be walking a lot. (I.E. Especially when I’m traveling in Europe!) I think you really need the perfect sneaker in order to make this look intentional and not like you’re just wearing your commuter shoes on the subway and planning to change when you get wherever you’re going. ?
The key: You want a classic white sneaker that isn’t too sporty or chunky. These Tretorns are perfect for that! I got them to replace my Jack Purcells that I’ve had for years and are getting pretty dingy looking. The thing I love about the Tretorns is that they don’t require any break-in (at least for me!) whereas while I LOVE Jack Purcells and still highly recommend them, they definitely require a break-in period where they rub you in certain places.
Add a jean jacket: For a little added warmth and to play up the casual look even further, you can add a jean jacket! This one by J.Crew and I highly recommend it–it definitely is a more classic vs edgy jean jacket, which I prefer. (Nordstrom has so many styles you can shop right here, too!) If you don’t have a jean jacket, a leather jacket would work just as nicely here!

Spring Shoes:
Featured pick: Halogen Sandals: $99
There is usually one pair of shoes that I wear 99% of the time during the spring and summer, and these are definitely going to be *that pair* for me this year. These are so versatile, neutral, they go with everything, and best of all–they are VERY comfortable. The material is really soft and doesn’t rub, and the chunky heel makes them very easy to walk in! True to size.
Featured pick: Tretorn sneakers: $69
I am in loveee with these new sneakers! They require zero break-in and don’t rub at all. The first time I wore them was traveling, so I was on my feet a lot walking through the airport and zero blisters! ??They’re classic with a bit of a retro feel, and look just as cute with dresses as they do with jeans or shorts. They’re true to size.
Treasure & Bond Espadrilles: $79
I almost bought these wedges last year–I’ve been eyeing them forever so perhaps this is the year I shall pull the trigger ?They have a TON of awesome reviews though and are the perfect espadrille. I like that they aren’t SUPER chunky either, so they’re easier to walk in!
Something Navy Lily Flats: $99
HOW CUTE ARE THESE!? My new friend Jo-Lynn that I met at the conference in Phoenix last week was wearing these and I basically accosted her and demanded to know where she got them ?They’re part of the new Something Navy collection–she says they’re super comfy too! Perfect for work as well!
1901 Leopard Sandals: $59 (40% off!)
I got these shoes last summer and I’m so glad they brought them back! They are so cute and comfy! (See how I styled them here with a blazer and here!) They run true to size.
Halogen Woven Mules: $89
I love a good pair of mules, and this pair (also comes in black) is the perfect way to make any outfit springier! Great for TSA because they slip off, and perfect for vacation as well!
Soludos Mules: $149
Soludos makes some of the comfiest shoes around, and I love the look of these pretty, classic mules! The low heel makes them wearable for pretty much everything–they come in three colors!
Sam Edelman Yaro Heels: $119
These are probably my #1 most worn heel when the weather is warm. (Styled in this post!) I swear by these heels (they come in tons of colors)–they are probably the comfiest that high heels are going to get. They’re great for formal occasions or with jeans. I think the cork is especially cute and adds a fun textural element to your outfit while still being neutral! Similarly, I also love Steve Madden’s version–called the Carrson.
