Remember when I updated our bedroom for fall? Well, this week, we updated it for Christmas!
Is there anything better than a clean, cozified (is that a word) bedroom? I don’t think so.
(Except for when you’re wearing the comfiest new pajamas, slippers, and get to craw into bed with a heated faux fur blanket–talk about THE DREAM!)

Holiday bedroom decor updates:
Festive wreath:
I got the idea of a wreath above the bed from following one of my favorite instagram accounts, @MereZimmermann (she has the most beautifully decorated homey house and the cutest kids you’ve ever seen)–so obviously, I had to re-create it for myself. This proved the be the perfect solution as I had agonized over what kind of artwork to put above the bed for 3 years to no avail. Boom! Wreath! Seasonal AND stylish. Huzzah!
Macy’s has a ton of pretty wreaths, and a few different boxwoods on sale, too! If boxwoods aren’t your thing, I also loveee their olive wreath, which would be great to leave up year-round! Mini string lights:
I think dainty string lights are the cutest, easiest way to add some fun holiday cheer to your bedroom! Weave them through or around your headboard, or you can run them across your dresser or around your vanity mirror! I love these minis because they’re just enough glow and don’t feel like tacky Christmas lights!
Faux fur blankets:
Okay–so–get this.
Electric blankets still exist–and they come in FAUX FUR.
Yep. I almost fell off my chair with excitement when I saw this heated faux fur blanket (on a scale of 1-10, how basic am I?) on Macy’s website. (There’s also this plaid heated blanket!) I had no idea they had such a gigantic selection of cozy blankets and adorable throws.
What can I say? I’m ALWAYS cold at home in the winter–this seems like the answer to all my prayers. (I need to order Kelly one. Girlfriend wears long underwear even in the house.)
I added it to my cart immediately, but sadly, it did not arrive in time for me to shoot this post. (The one in these photos is an older blanket BUT you can find a similar one here!) However, I will definitely keep you posted on my thoughts when it gets here! What a great gift would this make your mom or sister, right!?

You guys know, I am a pajama FIEND. I was so excited to order this beautiful, classic blackwatch plaid set from Ralph Lauren. Right now it’s also on sale–marked down from $75 to $39!
When I opened the box, I was expecting the regular flannel material we’re all used to–but no, these are made of like–magic-flannel-fleecy-thick-softest-material-you’ve-ever-felt goodness. They are seriously the warmest, most comfortable pajamas you’ve ever put on your body. A bold statement, I know, but these are officially my #1’s! They would make the perfect gift for anyone in your family!
Macy’s is also low key the best place to get pajamas–especially matching family pajamas–did you know they have really affordable sets for the whole family!? I got them for all of Neal’s family last year (even a matching bandana for Otto!) and it was so cute!
Fuzzy slippers:
These are truly the softest, most cloud-like slippers, and if they weren’t comfortable enough as-is, they put memory foam in the soles ?so it really does feel like you’re walking on a pillowy cloud! Unreal! Plus, they’re so affordable–on sale for $17.50! I almost ordered these faux fur slipper booties too but I knew Neal would never let me live them down ?
