Frenchie Sweatshirt: Vintage Charm in Bucktown // Vegan Leather Leggings: American Apparel // Camo Jacket: Old Navy (similar) // Boots: from Nashville (similar)

Happy Tuesday!

Sorry for the MIA-ness the past couple days!

If you remember Thursday’s post, you’ll know my best friend just had a baby! We’ve been like sisters ever since I was 8, so you could say I’ve been waiting for this moment for a LONG time. The second I got the call that Harper was on the way, I jumped into my roommates car (which she was SO nice to lend me, thank you, Kate!) and drove as fast as I could to Cincinnati, just in time for Harper’s arrival! I spent the weekend there, and got back on Sunday afternoon. Needless to say, family takes priority over blog posts, thus the radio silence. But I’m sure you understand! It’s been a whirlwind playing catch up ever since, but I’m working on digging out of the 450 emails in my inbox and getting on top of my blog posts and 89 other project I’ve been juggling (oy!)

So, on to today’s post. Clearly the star of the show is the frenchie sweatshirt. It’s from one of my favorite local boutiques, Vintage Charm (yep, the same place this amazing outfit is from.) Upon my first visit there, we discovered that myself and the store owner, Nancy, both share a crazy love of french bulldogs, so it was meant to be!

The rest of this outfit is comprised of several of my outfit staples: one being vegan leather leggings, which I wear on a weekly basis. I get so many compliments on them and everyone is shocked when I tell them they’re from American Apparel! This camo jacket is also amazing, I like layering it under another coat for cooler weather, and over feminine items like dresses and skirts to make them more edgy. And the boots– the boots. These were an anniversary present from Neal last year when we went on our trip to Nashville. It was seriously one of my favorite trips I’d ever taken. We each bought Cowboy boots and wore them around the whole time like super embarrassing tourists, but I still rock these guys in the Midwest. They’re still subtle enough to not look like I’m going to a rodeo!

Also this goes without saying but no, my hair did not magically grow back. I shot a bunch of looks right before I got my hair chopped, so there’s one more “long hair” post coming, and it’ll all be short ones there on out! Hope you don’t mind 😉
