Last Wednesday was one of my favorite days ever in recent history. 

Kelly, Blair, Shaheen and I had been planning a get together with the four of us (I hadn’t seen Kelly or Shaheen since getting engaged!) but for one reason or another, our schedules just didn’t align. We finally settled on last Wednesday as a celebratory date, and had the best girls day!

We took a half-day off and went wedding dress shopping together at both Glamour Closet (amazing sample dresses!) and Alice in Ivory. There were definitely some tears shed, and some beautiful dresses found! (Not sure if they’re THE dress yet–such hard decisions–but definitely top contenders!)

After dress shopping, we had lunch at Summer House Santa Monica and ate ALL OF THE FOOD. (When you have a pregnant friend, she tends to be a really bad influence on you, you know? That’s what we kept telling ourselves. Blame it on the pregnant girl.) We had rosé at 3pm and a skillet cookie with ice cream for dessert and it was THE. BEST. 

We pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves with the exception of a couple “ladies who lunch” tables. Ha! Getting a fancy lunch “just because” on a Wednesday was definitely a treat. 

Afterwords, we went back to Shaheen’s to hang out and get ready for her husband, Trevor’s surprise party at Parson’s Chicken and Fish. He just completed his residency program, so Shaheen, the cutest wife she is, planned a party and even got a custom X-Ray cake made! He actually came home unexpectedly early and we had to McGiver the cake out of the laundry room without him noticing! Haha!
