Another Monday closer to Christmas! How is this possible!?
We got back from Quebec City last night and WOW, WOW, WOW is it the most magical place you could ever visit at Christmastime. I cannot recommend it enough–so many people have asked if I’ll be doing a recap guide of what we did and what to pack and I promise that I will!
I also realize the hilarious coincidence that today’s post topic is a weekend trip capsule wardrobe, yet, it does not exactly apply to our most recent trip to Quebec City –– you’ll need some different footwear and a whole lot more layers for that! ????
However, this IS a great guide to follow if you happen to be traveling pretty much anywhere else this winter. As always, Everlane makes some of the best versatile staples around, so it’s only fitting that they make excellent items to pack for any weekend adventure!
While there are some really great *festive* outfits in here (that would be perfect for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, etc), they will be equally as cute to recreate long after the holidays are over!
Plus, today, they have FREE two day shipping, so you can get everything in PLENTY of time for Christmas!!
If you’re new here, there are so many reasons to love Everlane, and I have been a fan of theirs LONG before they ever were a blog sponsor (we’re talking like, 5+ YEARS!) but here are two big reasons why I love the company so much:
1. Transparency: They cut out the traditional retail markup and middlemen so they can sell everything at a great price, with impeccable quality. On every product page, you can scroll down to the very bottom to see how much it costs to make the item at each stage of production and in turn, how much they charge for it.
2. Ethical partners + company mission: They do a LOT more than just make great clothes–they are very focused on sustainability and have a huge goal of eliminating all virgin plastic from their supply chain by 2021! They also have a “Black Friday Fund” instead of a sale each year, where they give back to a different cause each year central to the company’s mission. By the end of this year, they will have raised over $1,000,000 for projects to improve the lives of their factory workers and clean up the environment!

ReNew Fleece Crewneck Sweatshirt
When you want to wear a cozy sweatshirt, but still look chic doing it, this is a great option! Made of 100% recycled material made of 32 plastic water bottles! I love the nubby texture AND the fact that you can mix and match the sweatpants bottoms for a jumpsuit-like look! It’s great for layering items underneath or adding extra warmth under a coat! (See how I styled the oatmeal color several ways right here!)
Sizing: Order your normal size! I’m wearing small here.
I styled this cardigan in the almond color in my post last month, and am so excited to style this beautiful red color that’s beyond festive! It is SO incredibly cozy and I just love how it looks buttoned up and tucked into a pair of jeans. The perfect thing to wear for the holidays, but I will be wearing this well into Spring!
Sizing: Run TTS, but is a little bit looser cut and cropped. (Not like the oversized Alpaca crewneck sweater). Wearing XS.
Back by popular demand from last month’s Everlane Staples Post, this versatile mockneck bodysuit! Just as you suspected, this bodysuit does not disappoint! It’s a much different material than their other bodysuits––it’s made of Lyocell so it has a little bit of a sheen too it (great for dressing it up!) and is stretchy and breathable! The perfect base layer! It has a snap closure as well (IMPERATIVE for a bodysuit!!)
Sizing: Wearing a small, runs TTS!
You’ve seen me style these a lot in the golden color, and I love the bone shade too- it’s the perfect winter white! They are also a great option for winter because they’re really warm!
Always–my #1 top-selling jeans–they are so flattering and the perfect mix between skinny and wider cut denim. They made my Jess’ Favorite Things list, so you know they’re amazing! These are probably the jeans I wear most often in the fall and winter. I love how classic they are and they come in lots of washes!
Sizing: Run TTS for me, I’m wearing a 25 (what I always wear).
ReNew Transit Weekender:
It’s made from recycled plastic bottles, is super roomy, conveniently slips over your suitcase for easy travel, and comes in three unisex colors!
First, let’s talk more about the weekender bag!
Everlane’s latest weekender bag was actually what inspired this entire idea! I wanted to be able to review it AND create a whole packing wardrobe to fit into it for a long weekend. It’s made from recycled plastic bottles, is super roomy, conveniently slips over your suitcase for easy travel, and comes in three unisex colors! SADLY it went REALLY fast (like I ordered it and then it totally sold out before I could post it) but you can join the waitlist for the next restock!
[ggheading style=”light” size=”2″ text=”Now, let’s jump into the outfits!”]
Travel outfit #1:
Like I said…I am HERE for this faux jumpsuit look. Basically the best travel outfit ever–it’s super comfy, but intentional, and chic, too! I don’t really wear sweats in public, but these are still polished enough to feel stylish.
Travel outfit #2:
If the faux jumpsuit look isn’t your thing, these sweats look just as cute as a separate, worn with your favorite t-shirt. If you don’t yet own any henleys, definitely put one on your list. They’re a nice mix-up from the everyday t-shirt, and they’re such a cute casual staple.
Casual Daytime Outfit #1:
On your trip, you’ll want an outfit to wear around exploring, or maybe catching a movie with your family, right? This is the perfect outfit to do just that! I love the sweatshirt tied casually around your shoulders as an extra layer. (Because movie theatres always get cold!!)
Casual Daytime Outfit #2:
For an alternative–as a top layer or just all by itself–this sweatshirt looks so cute with jeans, sneakers, and a scarf draped around your shoulders!
For another casual option–pair this red cardigan with jeans and sneakers for a look that is casual, yet still polished. I absolutely LOVE. THIS. CARDIGAN. I have it in two colors and I cannot stop wearing it. This red color, in particular, is such a beautiful red that looks good on everyone!
Cozy but stylish:
Freezing, but want to look really stylish at the same time? THIS OUTFIT to the rescue!! So cute for wearing everywhere from dinner, to your friend’s baby shower, to Sunday brunch–-whatever! A great example of the juxtaposition rule.
Great for brunch:
A super easy way to elevate that jeans and a t-shirt look for something where you want to look a bit more pulled together? Just pull on these booties, and you’ve completely elevated your look and made it way more fashion-forward in about two seconds!
Casual + festive:
Same formula, totally different outfit! I would wear this on a date, dinner with friends, or a family holiday party! I love the effortlessly chic feel this cardigan has buttoned up and tucked into jeans and paired with a pair of heels!
Out on the town:
You remember this bodysuit from last month’s post (you can see how to style it a bunch more ways right here!) This has quickly become one of my go-to’s for winter because it’s warm AND perfect for wearing out on the town! A great thing to pack for Friday and/or Saturday nights on your weekend getaway! I actually brought this to Quebec City and wore it out Friday night (with my long underwear under it. ????)
Warm but trendy!
You’ve seen me wear these cords in the “golden brown” color a LOT over the past few months, so it was only a matter of time before I acquired the “bone” color. ????Not shocking––I love them. They are a perfect thing to wear in the winter because they are super warm and the prettiest shade of winter white. I love wearing white in the winter because it can really brighten up your outfit when the weather is dreary and grey!
Merry + Bright!
I also think the white cords are the perfect thing to wear for the holidays! I loved this outfit combination because it’s festive, but not over the top (again, you can totally wear it long after the holidays) but the snakeskin boot is really what makes this outfit work, because of the pop of pattern and little bit of trendy edge it brings to the outfit!
When you don’t really feel like getting dressed, but want to still look cute? Voila! Here’s your outfit!
The perfect pajamas:
Last but not least, you can’t go on a weekend getaway without PJ’s, can you!? I am always an advocate for a good pair of matching PJ’s, but the second I put these on–I thought, “WOW. Now THESE are a grown-up pair of pajamas!” They make you feel like you’ve made it. ????They’re so luxurious––silk, but washable! Plus, if you’re going away and staying with friends or family, they’re a really great pair that you can wear around the house but still feel presentable!
I hope you loved this winter weekend travel capsule! Happy packing! ????
