(Nothing either of us is wearing in this photo is current, so can’t link, so sorry!)
I almost wrote “Happy Monday” but surprise–it’s Tuesday! I love Mondays that are Tuesdays!
Back with an Ask Jess post today. Thanks to all who submitted their questions last week–there were so many product related questions specifically, so see below for some favorite product reccos–from shoes, to organization, baby products, and clothing!
Ask Jess: My favorite supportive shoes, “butted” underwear, organizing baskets and more!
Favorite supportive shoes for travel/lots of walking?
The Everlane trainers have always been my go-to “super supportive” white sneaker. I think they’re just as supportive as my old lady running shoes but aren’t “sporty” so they’re easier to style with jeans, a t-shirt dress, etc! (I don’t typically like wearing sporty sneakers, I.E. Nikes with “real clothes”–just not my style, but I love these!) I’ve owned them for several years and they stopped making them for a while, but I just noticed they brought them back and I’m so glad!
I once had a reader DM me once and say she bought these shoes to wear sightseeing around the city after she ran the Chicago marathon and that they were so comfortable and supportive she had no problems walking around all day. If that’s not a great testimonial I don’t know what is.
Sizing: I wear an 8 and found them true to size, but the reviews say to size up if you’re typically a half-size.
Any favorite baskets for organizing toiletries, bathroom stuff?
A lot of my home organizing products are from The Container Store–they have a ton of options for bathroom organization. I love all their stuff and it seems like they have organization products for every single nook and cranny of your house! I have some Hyacinth baskets from The Container Store that I love! Also, IKEA! Their baskets are so affordable and always stylish and practical! Definitely worth a trip to the burbs if you have one in your area!
Other good places to look are H&M home, Amazon and Target. I typically love a hyacinth/rattan type of material from an aesthetic standpoint, but also like metal baskets like this set from Target or these from The Container Store, which are great for bathroom products as you’re able to see everything in each one! Something like this with a slide out drawer would also be really practical for bathroom shelves and cupboards to make the most of your space! I’ll link some cute basket picks below:
Any favorite belts you’d recommend?
Favorite “butted” underwear?
For those who missed my stories, I call non thong underwear “butted” underwear (Which apparently isn’t common?!) Eby! They’re the only full coverage undies I can stand wearing with pants! My favorite style is the “cheeky” panty. I love the no-slip grip that doesn’t ride up (that isn’t silicone, so it doesn’t squeeze!) They’re also so thin that you’ll feel like you’re wearing nothing at all! Sizing: I ordered my normal size (small) but if I wanted them on the roomier side I may recommend going up a size.
#1 baby essential if you had to pick one?
Hands down my Babybjorn carrier(s)–no question! Rarely does a day go by where we don’t use the Babybjorn! Read my Babybjorn carrier review right here.
