A great “I have nothing to wear” dress–for rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, and more!

Jun 24, 2019

A great "I have nothing to wear" dress–for rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, and more!

Dress: Topshop (Wearing my usual Topshop size–a 2 US! It’s supposed to be a bit loose though!) Shoes: Loeffler Randall (also come in a lower heel!)–SO comfy–run TTS! Purse: Topshop (sold out but they have SO many cute similar ones!)

Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? We had a great, relaxing couple of days–a lot of time spent with friends and hanging out on the front deck! (Summer, is that you?)

We’re also feeling VERY accomplished, because we finally booked our Spain trip! We’re doing Barcelona and Mallorca in September–I’ll share more details later! We are so, so excited!

Okay, so–remember when I went to Vegas for my friend Kai’s bachelorette party a few weeks back?

I had NO idea what to wear, so I ordered a LOT of dresses (this leopard mini is the one I ended up wearing out!) but this cute little pink number (ON SALE for $33! Also comes in black, don’t worry ?) was one I added to my cart–I loved it so much, I wore it to the Bad on Paper Podcast live show–and I was excited to shoot it for the blog to share with you guys, because there are lot’s of “events” that evoke that “AHHH I have nothing to wear!!” feeling–like bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, dinner dates, birthday parties, and more–you know, when you want to look cute, stylish, a little sexy, but classy and age appropriate–a dress code that is more casual than traditional “cocktail” attire, but typically more dressy than what you’d wear to dinner on an average night, you know?

Why I love this dress so much:

It’s long sleeve. It is nice to not wear a regular bra, you know?

It’s conservative enough on top but short enough to still be appropriate for a bachelorette party without being matronly.

It’s VERY flattering. The shape looks great on a variety of body types!

It also comes in black, which makes it even more versatile. (The pink is selling out super fast but the black is fully stocked!)

It’s something you’ll wear year-round! (at least the black is–it’ll look so cute with tights and booties!)

Let’s talk about these shoes:

These Loeffler Randall Penny Knot slides are DEFINITELY a splurge, but I love them SO. MUCH. They are insanely comfortable (no rubbing, no blisters) and they’re such an easy way to dress up any outfit and put statement-making, fashion-forward twist on whatever you’re wearing–without feeling too over the top. I’ve wanted these shoes for years, so I’m glad I finally took the pluge, and they’ve become my favorite pairs of shoes as of late! They also come with a lower heel (low in stock but the website says restocking in July!) If you’ve been looking for a fun pair of statement heels that are comfy–these are them!
